Creamy Garlic Herb Hemp Seed Dressing

Creamy Garlic Herb Hemp Seed Dressing

Welcome to my new blog! For the inaugural entry, I’m sharing one of my favorite dressing creations. It’s really zesty and a great way to get your daily omega-3’s while aiding in the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins in your salad. I keep coming back to Manitoba Harvest Shelled Hemp Hearts because they seem to taste the best and lend a cheesy flavor to the dressing.

Creamy Garlic Herb Hemp Seed Dressing

Makes approximately 1/2 cup (multiply recipe as needed)

  • 1/4 c. raw hemp seeds (organic is best)
  • 1/4 c. unpasteurized/raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbs. organic dried Italian herb blend (bulk spice section)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. Himalayan pink salt (or another unrefined salt)
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender, such as a Vitamix, and process for about 20 seconds or until the seeds are broken down, scraping down the sides if necessary. Keep refrigerated and use within 1 day. Enjoy!

Note: I became enamored with Manitoba Harvest Shelled Hemp Hearts after trying a small bag from Whole Foods. I bought the 5-pound container of non-organic on Amazon because they were such a screaming deal. I have listed it in my Amazon affiliate store here).
